Chief Justice Surya Kant to visit Jodhpur for day-long events
Justice Surya Kant is the Chief Justice of India.
He is going to visit the city of Jodhpur in Rajasthan.
He will arrive on Saturday night and stay until Sunday evening.
On Sunday morning, he will attend the 25th Foundation Day celebration of Jodhpur National Law University, where students learn to become lawyers.
He will also talk with university leaders about how new technology, ethics and innovation can make legal education and the justice system better.
During the visit, he will start the construction of a new guest house for judges near the Rajasthan High Court.
He will also open a brand-new seven-storey building at the district court complex that has space for about 60 courts.
Two lawyers' associations will hold a special joint welcome ceremony for him.
After his work is done, he will fly back to Delhi on Sunday evening.
CJI Justice Surya Kant will arrive at Jodhpur Airport around 9 PM on Saturday for a day-long visit on Sunday.
He will attend the 25th Foundation Day ceremony of Jodhpur National Law University at 11:30 AM on Sunday.
He will take part in a programme on 'Legal Technology and Ethics Roadmap' and be chief guest at the Vice Chancellors' Conclave 2.0.
He will lay the foundation stone for a new Rajasthan High Court guest house and inaugurate the seven-storey G-7 building at the District Court complex, which will house about 60 courtrooms.
A joint felicitation ceremony will be hosted by the Rajasthan High Court Advocates Association and the Rajasthan High Court Lawyers Association before the CJI departs for Delhi around 5:30 PM.
