Kaikavolu Farmer Develops Unique Hydro Lift Device, Wins President's Award · deccanchronicle.com

Pampana Srinivas is a farmer who built a machine called Hydro Lift.

It uses the force of moving water to pump water uphill.

The machine does not need electricity, diesel or petrol.

This could help farmers who struggle to get water in hilly places.

The current version can lift water about 30 feet.

It can move nearly 2.5 million litres of water each day.

Srinivas received an award from President Droupadi Murmu for his invention.

He is working on a larger version that could lift water 100 feet and produce electricity.
