Wanaparthy will receive irrigation for 3,384 acres, while Nagarkurnool will receive coverage for 851 acres.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said the project may be renamed after Sant Sevalal at tribal communities’ request.
Officials said improved water availability could increase cultivation and support agricultural development in beneficiary tandas.
