Uttarakhand Innovator's Electric Flying Car HAPIDA SKYNeX Test-Flown

A man who lives in the mountains of India has built a very special machine.

His name is Ravi Tamta, and he comes from a small village near the town of Almora in Uttarakhand.

He made an electric flying vehicle big enough for one person to sit in.

It is based on drone technology, like the small flying machines used for taking pictures, but it has multiple rotors and a seat.

He tested it on open ground near Almora, and videos of the flight appeared on social media.

Ravi built it because mountain roads are slow and twisty; a trip that takes about 90 minutes by road could take only 10 to 15 minutes in his flying car.

The machine runs entirely on electricity, so it does not produce exhaust pollution.

The vehicle is still new and needs more testing to make sure it is safe and reliable.

Before people could use it everywhere, it would also need permission and safety certificates from the government.

Ravi hopes that one day flying cars will help people in the mountains travel easily and help during emergencies like floods and landslides.
