Thousands Attend Anadikalpeshwar Mahadev’s Grand Royal Alot Procession
Thousands of people gathered in Alot to join a religious procession for Anadikalpeshwar Mahadev.
The event began on Monday after a police guard of honour.
The deity’s symbolic mask was decorated at the temple at 5 pm.
The Bharat Kaudiyan family performed aarti before the mask was placed in a decorated palanquin.
Devotees welcomed the procession by showering flowers.
Music groups, tableaux, akharas and bhajan groups took part.
Artists performed through the night, and free prasadi was distributed.
The procession returned to the temple around 5 am on Tuesday.
Police, security volunteers and electricity workers helped keep the event safe and peaceful.
