Indian Ambassador Pays Tribute to Nagasaki Bombing Victims

A long time ago, during a big war, two very powerful bombs were dropped on the Japanese cities of Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

They caused terrible damage and many people lost their lives.

Now, 81 years later, people still remember what happened.

An ambassador named Nagma Mallik from India went to Japan to honor the people who died.

She visited the exact place in Nagasaki where the bomb fell.

She also went to a museum that shows how the bombing hurt the city and its people.

She met the mayor and the governor of Nagasaki.

She also laid flowers at a memorial for Mahatma Gandhi, a famous Indian leader who taught peace.

She said peace is something we should practice every day, not just a goal.

The mayor of Hiroshima said wars still happen today, so everyone should keep working for peace.
