NGT orders Noida Authority action on improper tree deconcretisation

There is a special court in India called the National Green Tribunal that helps protect nature.

Trees in cities sometimes have hard concrete built around them, which is bad for their roots.

Workers were asked to remove the concrete around trees in a place called Noida.

But some people said the workers did not do the job properly.

They removed only a tiny bit of concrete instead of a lot, and in some places nothing was removed at all.

People also said tree branches were cut too much in one neighbourhood called Sector 26.

The court told the city officials to check if these complaints are true.

If they are true, the officials must fix the problem and punish the workers who did wrong.

The officials have two months to do this work.
