Justice Alpesh Yeshvant Kogje is now the new Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

The Governor of Madhya Pradesh gave him his oath at a ceremony in Bhopal.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and other senior officials attended.

Kogje is the 30th person to hold this position.

The court had been without a permanent Chief Justice for nearly three months.

Justice Vivek Rusia had been serving as Acting Chief Justice.

Kogje was earlier a judge at the Gujarat High Court.

He will officially begin his new duties on Friday.
