Eknath Shinde Unveils Maharashtra's Roadmap for Viksit Bharat 2047
India just celebrated its 80th Independence Day.

He talked about a huge dream called 'Viksit Bharat 2047' — making India a fully developed country by the year 2047.

The government also promised to help farmers by wiping out their loans through a new scheme.
It plans to build good, affordable homes for everyone and improve roads, water, and other city facilities.
Thane will get the state's biggest hospital with 900 beds and thousands of smart cameras to keep people safe.

Deputy CM Eknath Shinde hoisted the National Flag at the Thane District Collector's Office on India's 80th Independence Day.
Shinde outlined Maharashtra's role in the Viksit Bharat 2047 initiative, citing self-reliance through Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
The state implemented the Punyaslok Ahilyadevi Holkar Farmer Loan Waiver Scheme 2026 and onboarded over 97,000 farmers onto the Agri-Stack system.
A ₹44-crore municipal infrastructure development fund and a slum-free housing policy were announced to improve urban facilities across Maharashtra.
Thane will receive Maharashtra's largest 900-bed Super Specialty Hospital, metro and tunnel connectivity projects, and 6,059 AI-enabled CCTV cameras.
