UGC Orders Disability Compliance, Data Submission By September 2026
The University Grants Commission has told universities to make education more accessible for students with disabilities.

Universities must submit disability-related data on admissions, staff recruitment, scholarships and fellowships through the UAMP by September 30, 2026.
Institutions must create accessibility action plans and follow barrier-free building standards.
Universities and colleges must maintain functional Equal Opportunity Cells and form internal committees to address disability-related needs.
