The University of Bristol has opened a new campus in Mumbai, India.

It is the university’s first campus outside Bristol.

The campus is called the Mumbai Enterprise Campus and is in Powai, opposite IIT Bombay.

Students can study subjects connected to data, finance, technology and the arts.

The listed courses include a three-year data science degree and several one-year postgraduate degrees.

The courses are based on Bristol programmes but adapted for India.

Students will have opportunities to join research, internships and industry activities.

Four scholarship students attended the opening, and Shanta Gokhale received an honorary degree.
