UGC Invites Applications for 2026-27 ODL, Online Programme Recognition
The University Grants Commission (UGC) is asking schools and colleges to apply if they want to offer special online or distance learning courses starting in January 2027.
They have to apply online by September 15, 2026, and send some papers by September 25, 2026.
Not all applications will be accepted; the UGC will check each one carefully.
Only those that meet all the rules will be allowed to offer these courses.

UGC invites applications from eligible HEIs for ODL and/or Online programme recognition for 2026-27.
Applications open from September 1-15, 2026, with hard copy submission deadline of September 25, 2026.
Recognition applies to programmes starting from the January-February 2027 academic session.
Applications will be scrutinized against UGC regulations; submission does not guarantee approval.
