Lokpal Chairperson Reaffirms Commitment to Corruption-Free Governance on Independence Day
The Lokpal of India is a special group that helps make sure the people who run the country do not cheat or take money unfairly.
On India's 80th Independence Day, the leader of this group, Justice Khanwilkar, said they will keep working to stop corruption.
He told the people who work there to take every problem seriously.
He said that behind every file they look at, there is a real person whose life is affected.
He also asked the group to use technology to work better.
He wants the Lokpal to be fast, clear, and easy for everyone to reach.
He reminded everyone about a poem by Rabindranath Tagore about a country without fear.
He said India's freedom came from many brave people who sacrificed a lot.
He said true freedom means no hunger, no unfairness, and dignity for every citizen.
More people sending complaints shows they trust the Lokpal to help them.
Justice Ajay Manikrao Khanwilkar, Lokpal of India Chairperson, reaffirmed commitment to clean, corruption-free governance on the 80th Independence Day.
He urged officials to treat every complaint with seriousness, fairness and objectivity, remembering that behind every file is a citizen's life.
