Mayawati Urges Greater Accountability From Constitutional Institutions on Independence Day

Mayawati is the leader of a big political group in India called the Bahujan Samaj Party.

On Independence Day, which is a very special day for India, she said hello and gave good wishes to all the people of India.

India was celebrating its 80th Independence Day.

She said that celebrating is good, but it is not enough.

She thinks the important people who run the country's institutions should do a better job.

She wants them to follow the rules of the Constitution carefully and honestly.

She said the country's system should be fair and balanced.

She also said that all people, especially those who are left out or poor, like Dalits, Tribals, and Muslims, should get equal chances.

She wants people to have jobs and not suffer because of corruption.

She said the real meaning of India's freedom is when everyone can live happily, safely, and with prosperity.
