A weather system is growing stronger over the Bay of Bengal.

It may become a depression on Monday.

This could bring heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds to West Bengal from September 21 to 26.

Kolkata has a yellow alert first, followed by an orange alert.

Some districts in South Bengal may get heavy rain beginning September 22.

Rain will also increase in north Bengal, especially around Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling.

The sea may become dangerous because of strong, gusty winds.

Fishermen have been told to stay away from the deep sea and return to shore if they are already there.
