Telangana wants to finish the Devadula water project within one year.

The project has been incomplete for nearly two decades.

It will move water from the Godavari River to farmland.

The plan is to lift about 38 TMC of water.

It could provide irrigation to nearly six lakh acres.

The government has included it in a Rs 6,000 crore package for unfinished projects.

So far, Rs 2,500 crore has been released from that package.

Officials will work on land, rehabilitation and forest problems and use available pumps to move as much water as possible.
