Telangana Fast-Tracks Devadula Scheme With One-Year Completion Target
Telangana wants to finish the Devadula water project within one year.
The project has been incomplete for nearly two decades.
It will move water from the Godavari River to farmland.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to prioritize the project and remove completion obstacles.
Devadula is part of a Rs 6,000 crore package for under-construction irrigation projects, with Rs 2,500 crore released.
The scheme is designed to lift about 38 TMC of Godavari water and irrigate nearly six lakh acres.
Officials will address land acquisition, rehabilitation, resettlement and forest issues while using available pumping facilities.
