Electric scooter wait times stretch as demand outpaces production
EV scooter wait gets longer · financialexpress.com

Many people in India want to buy electric scooters these days.

So many people want them that the companies making them cannot build them fast enough.

This means buyers have to wait a long time, sometimes more than two months.

The wait has gotten longer at popular brands like TVS Motor, Ather Energy and Bajaj Auto.

More people are choosing electric scooters because they like them and because fuel prices may go up.

In just the first part of this year, more than 1.19 million electric two-wheelers were registered.

That is almost as many as in the whole of last year.

Companies are building new factories and making more scooters every month to catch up.

But even those changes might not be enough if demand keeps growing.

For now, people who want a specific scooter colour or model may have to wait patiently.
