Vijayawada Colleges Organise Cleanliness and Environmental Plantation Drives
Two colleges in Vijayawada held activities to make their surroundings cleaner and greener.
Government Siddhartha Medical College organised a cleanliness programme near its Buddha statue.
Teachers, students and other employees joined the activity.
Dr K Prashanthi said clean surroundings help people live healthier lives.
She asked students and staff to keep the college, hostels and nearby areas clean.
SRR & CVR Government Degree College also held a cleanliness drive.
Its NSS units and the District Tourism Department planted trees at the college playground.
Both activities were part of the Swarna Andhra–Swachh Andhra programme.
