Pattiseema Water Lifeline for Crops Amid El Niño, Says Naidu

There is a big water project called Pattiseema that moves water from the Godavari river to the Krishna river.

This year, the weather has not given enough rain because of something scientists call El Niño.

Farmers need water to grow their crops in an area called the Krishna delta.

The leader of the state, Mr. Naidu, went to see how the water project was working.

He saw that the Krishna river was full of water coming from the Godavari.

So far this season, the project has moved 17.52 tmc of water, which is a very large amount.

Mr. Naidu asked his officials to share the water carefully so every farmer gets some.

He said the Pattiseema water is saving the crops even though the rain did not come.
