Tricolour hoisted on 108-foot mast at LoC in Jammu
India recently celebrated its 80th Independence Day.
On this special day, soldiers and veterans did something memorable near the border where India meets Pakistan.
They walked one and a half kilometers while carrying the Indian flag.
Students from a school in Pallanwala walked along with them.
When they reached a village called Kachrial, they raised the flag on a very tall pole.
The pole is 108 feet high, about as tall as a big building.
The flag looks out over the wide Chhamb plains.
It reminds people of the brave soldiers who protected India.
After the flag went up, everyone planted trees to say thank you to their mothers.
It was a celebration of freedom and a way to remember those who kept the country safe.

The installation came after a 1.5 km Tiranga march organized by the Army to mark India's 80th Independence Day.
Ex-servicemen and primary school students of Pallanwala carried the tricolour through the historic border region.
The flag mast overlooks the plains of Chhamb and stands as a symbol of India's sovereignty and the armed forces' sacrifices.
The event was followed by a tree plantation drive under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative.
