Karimnagar Tiranga rally draws big crowd for 80th Independence Day
In a city called Karimnagar, lots of people gathered together for a big parade with the Indian flag.
The parade is called a Tiranga rally, and Tiranga is another name for India's flag.
It was organised by the BJP as part of a campaign called Har Ghar Tiranga, which means "Tricolour in every home".
The campaign is about celebrating India's Independence Day.
This year, the country is celebrating its 80th Independence Day.
Students, leaders and party workers all walked in the parade carrying flags.
They shouted happy and proud slogans like "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and "Vande Mataram".
The parade started at a college and ended at a place called Court Chowrasta.
There, they put flowers on the statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar, who was an important leader in India.
The people who organised the parade wanted everyone to remember the heroes who helped India become free, and to put the flag on their own homes too.
BJP North Zone organised a grand Tiranga rally in Karimnagar as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign ahead of the country's 80th Independence Day.
The rally was led by BJP North Zone president Padam Shivraj and began at SRR College, passing through the city's main streets before culminating at Court Chowrasta.
Karimnagar Municipal Corporation Mayor Kolagani Srinivas and BJP State spokesperson and Deputy Mayor (former Mayor) Yadagiri Sunil Rao attended as chief guests.
Students, BJP leaders and workers carried the Tricolour and raised patriotic slogans such as "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and "Vande Mataram".
At the conclusion, leaders and participants garlanded the statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar and paid floral tributes at Court Chowrasta.
Organisers said the rally honoured those who sacrificed their lives for the nation and encouraged people to display the national flag at their homes.
