Women's APL Set for Franchise Debut in Andhra Pradesh

Cricket is a very popular game, and in India lots of people love watching it.

A new women's cricket tournament is starting in a place called Andhra Pradesh.

The tournament is called the Women's Andhra Premier League.

It will have four teams, just like when you pick teams for a game.

Each team was bought by different companies who paid money to own it.

Some companies paid more money than others to get their team.

A famous cricket player named Mithali Raj will help teach the players how to play better.

The games will happen from September 15 to 26 in a town called Mangalagiri.

Kids who go to school can watch the games for free.

The people organizing the tournament hope it will help women players become stars of Indian cricket.
