MP urges Railways, VMC to speed up bridge works
In the city of Vijayawada, people use bridges to cross railway tracks.
Some bridges go over the tracks and some go under them.
These bridges are not finished yet, and that makes traffic slow.
A leader named Kesineni Sivanath, who is called Chinni, asked the railway and city officials to work together.
They had a meeting at the district office.
The officials talked about why the work is delayed.
Some problems are approvals, money for people who need to move, and the process of choosing builders.
They also need to move a water pipe, which will cost about six crore rupees.
The officials agreed to make a plan next week and start the work soon.
This will help cars move more smoothly in the city.
MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) urged Railways and Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) officials to coordinate and resolve hurdles delaying RUB and ROB construction in Vijayawada.
A coordination meeting was held at the NTR district Collectorate with collector Dr G Lakshmisha and officials from the Railways, Revenue, and VMC.
Delays were attributed to railway approvals, rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R) packages, municipal issues, and the tendering process.
Special attention was given to RUBs at New Rajeshwaripet-Old Rajeshwaripet, LC No 8 at Gunadala, and the Errakatta bridge.
The VMC prepared an estimate of around Rs 6 crore for shifting a water pipeline for the Madhuranagar-Vambay Colony RUB, and departments agreed to prepare an action plan next week.
