UGC-NET June 2026 Provisional Answer Key Released for 84 Subjects
UGC-NET is a very big exam that people in India take if they want to become college teachers or get into PhD programmes.
After a big exam, the people who run it put out an answer key, which is a list of what they think the correct answers are.
The answer key for the June 2026 UGC-NET exam has just been released for 84 subjects.
It is provisional, which means it is not the final list yet.
Students can check their answers against the key on the official website.
If a student thinks an answer is wrong, they can complain, and this is called raising an objection.
The window to complain is open from August 16 to August 18, 2026.
Each complaint costs Rs 200, but the money is returned if experts agree the answer was wrong.
If experts accept a complaint, the corrected answer is used for every student who took that subject's exam.
A few subjects, like English, Commerce and Sociology, are being checked separately because of complaints about errors in the question papers.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) released provisional answer keys and recorded responses for the UGC-NET June 2026 examination covering 84 subjects.
Candidates can raise objections from August 16 to 18, 2026; most notices cite a deadline of 11:59 PM, while one NTA post cited 11:00 PM.
A processing fee of Rs 200 per challenged question applies and is refunded in full if subject experts accept the challenge.
Corrections accepted by experts will be applied uniformly to all candidates of that subject, so candidates need not submit the same challenge twice.
A committee was formed to examine complaints about question-paper errors in English, Commerce and Sociology, with separate public notices due later on August 16.
