IMD Warns of Heavy Rain Across Eastern India
India’s weather agency has predicted a lot of rain in several parts of the country.
Odisha could receive very heavy rain from August 24 to 26.
Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal may also get heavy rain.
The rain is linked to a low-pressure weather system over the Bay of Bengal.

Parts of Odisha have already received extremely heavy rain, including 34 centimetres in Kalahandi.
Delhi is expected to have mostly cloudy weather with only light rain in some places.

Chhattisgarh may receive widespread rain and isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall from August 23 to 25, along with thunderstorms and lightning.
