Bhupender Yadav Calls for More Vulture Safe Zones
Haryana: Union Minister Bhupender Yadav calls for more vulture safe zones (Ld) · thehansindia.com

Vultures help nature by eating dead animals and keeping the environment clean.

A vulture conservation event was held in Pinjore, Haryana.

Union Minister Bhupender Yadav asked people to create more safe areas for vultures.

Vulture numbers in India fell greatly after the 1990s.

The decline was linked to changes in their food supply and some animal medicines.

Veterinarians, farmers, local officials and communities were asked to help protect them.

The Jatayu Conservation Breeding Centre kept 356 vultures and bred 35 chicks during 2025-26.

The centre also helped release vultures and train people from conservation institutions.
