Dalbir, 60, arrived at the school, where the brothers reunited emotionally after about 35 years apart.
Ram said his family had taken him to a polio treatment centre in Sangrur, but he left because he feared burdening them.
He later worked as a private-school peon in Punjab before obtaining a stable job.
