Jaishankar Meets Putin Ahead of SCO and BRICS Summits

India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar visited Moscow for two days.

He met Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin on Monday.

Jaishankar gave Putin greetings and a personal message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said Modi hoped to meet Putin at the upcoming SCO Summit.

He also invited Putin to visit India for the BRICS Summit.

Putin sent his best wishes back to Modi.

The officials discussed trade, energy, fertilisers, nuclear energy and high technology.

Jaishankar also held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Their discussions included bilateral cooperation, regional conflicts and global issues.
