Andhra Assembly opens doors to public on August 14, 15
The Andhra Pradesh Assembly is the building where the state's elected leaders meet to make laws.
Usually, ordinary people are not allowed inside.
The Speaker, Mr. C Ayyanna Patrudu, made a special announcement: the Assembly will open its doors to the public.
Everyone can visit on the evenings of August 14 and 15, between 6 pm and 9 pm.
This is part of the celebrations for Independence Day, and the programme is called 'Mana Sabha-Jana Sabha', which means 'Our Assembly-People's Assembly'.
The leaders hope the visits will bring people closer to their democracy.
Students get special priority and might be allowed into the Main Hall, but they cannot take mobile phones inside.
There will be police band performances, patriotic songs and cultural shows.
There will even be small food courts, but visitors must not make reels on their phones for security reasons.
From now on, the Assembly will open to the public for four days every year, during Independence Day and Republic Day.
