Andhra Pradesh Assembly Tour Teaches Students Democratic Process
Andhra Pradesh is running a programme called the Assembly Vignana Yatra.
It helps students learn how the Legislative Assembly works.
Students watched lawmakers discuss matters from the visitors’ gallery.
On Thursday, 741 students took part.
In four days, 2,716 students from 23 schools and colleges had visited.
Some students also met the Assembly Speaker and two MLAs.
They asked questions about making laws and parliamentary procedures.
The Speaker said students may also be able to visit when the Assembly is not meeting.
The students said the experience was special and memorable.
