Mana Sabha–Jana Sabha Opens Assembly Premises to Public
Long ago, regular people did not get to visit the place where their state leaders make laws.
That place is called the Legislative Assembly, and it is in a city called Amaravati in India.
On Friday, leaders decided to open the doors of this building to everyone.
This was part of a special programme called 'Mana Sabha–Jana Sabha'.
It happened around Independence Day, a day when Indians celebrate their country being free.
People and students could go inside for free and see both rooms where leaders meet.
There were patriotic songs, cultural dances, and a police band played music.
A college named KL University sang songs, and a young dancer performed too.
The leaders said they want people to feel closer to their democracy.
They also promised that the assembly's doors will stay open for the people.
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly premises in Amaravati were opened to the public on Friday as part of the 'Mana Sabha–Jana Sabha' programme.
Legislative Council Chairman Koyye Moshen Raju and Assembly Speaker Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu launched the programme.
The event featured patriotic songs, cultural performances, and an AP Police Brass Band Symphony.
The public and students were given free entry and the opportunity to visit both houses of the legislature.
Officials said the initiative strengthens people's connect with democracy, and the deputy speaker assured the assembly's doors would remain open to the people.
