Mahindra Extends Battery-as-a-Service to XEV 9S, XEV 9e
Mahindra is offering a new way to pay for some electric SUVs.
Instead of paying for the car and battery together, eligible buyers can finance the battery separately.
This is called Battery-as-a-Service, or BaaS.
With this option, the XEV 9S starts at Rs 12.65 lakh.
The XEV 9e starts at Rs 13.90 lakh.
Mahindra first offered BaaS with the BE 6 Sporteq.
That earlier option priced the vehicle at Rs 11.45 lakh and charged an effective battery usage cost of Rs 3.75 per kilometre.
The BaaS option is now available for every variant of all three Electric Origin SUVs.
Mahindra has extended its Battery-as-a-Service option to the XEV 9S and XEV 9e.
The XEV 9S now starts at Rs 12.65 lakh ex-showroom under BaaS.
The XEV 9e now starts at Rs 13.90 lakh ex-showroom under BaaS.
BaaS separates the battery cost from the vehicle’s upfront purchase price for qualifying buyers.
The option now covers every variant of Mahindra’s three Electric Origin SUVs, not only entry trims.
