Elamanchili to develop like Ranga Reddy, MP announces water project
A leader in India has big plans for a town called Elamanchili.
He wants it to grow into a modern city over the next ten years, like a district called Ranga Reddy.
A big water project is starting that costs more than 120 crore rupees.
It will give every home in the town a clean drinking water connection.
The project is being built with money from an international bank and the state government.
Big companies are also planning new factories and data centers nearby.
This could create about 300,000 jobs for young people in the area.
Roads will be widened to make travel easier, and the railway station will be upgraded.
To celebrate, about 2,000 people took part in a big motorbike rally.
MP CM Ramesh said Elamanchili will emerge as a modern urban region similar to Telangana's Ranga Reddy district over the next decade.
A foundation stone was laid for a Rs 120.18 crore drinking water supply project in Elamanchili under APUWSSMIP.
The project, backed by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), aims to provide drinking water connections to every household in the town.
Around 3 lakh job opportunities are expected from new industries, including the Blackstone Data Center and AM Green Biofuel Plant in Anakapalli district.
Plans include four-lane connectivity between Gajuwaka, Elamanchili and the highway, along with expedited ROB/RUB works and railway station modernisation.
