Thousands Join Hyderabad Marathon’s 5K and Inclusive Runs
Thousands of people joined two running events in Hyderabad on Saturday.
The events were part of the 15th Hyderabad Marathon.
About 6,200 people ran the regular 5K race.
Around 300 differently abled participants joined the Inclusive Run.
Some participants used wheelchairs, while others had visual or other disabilities.
Officials M. Ramesh and G. Srijana started the races and ran with participants.
The bigger 10K, Half Marathon and Full Marathon races will happen on Sunday.
Participants also received plants as part of the marathon’s environmental efforts.
More than 6,500 runners participated in Saturday’s 5K and Inclusive Runs at HITEX.
About 300 differently abled participants, including wheelchair runners, took part in the Inclusive Run.
Around 6,200 regular 5K runners participated, while more than 6,800 had registered.
Officials M. Ramesh and G. Srijana flagged off and joined the runs.
The marathon’s 10K, Half Marathon and Full Marathon events are scheduled for Sunday.
