Karnataka Electoral Roll Revision Generates 43.81 Lakh Notices
Karnataka is checking and updating its voter list.
Officials made more than 43 lakh notices for voters whose records need checking.
These records are called “no mapping” or “anomalies.”
About 7.31 lakh notices have reached voters so far.
More than 36 lakh notices still need to be delivered.
Hearings began on September 3 and will continue until October 12.
Voters can search for their names using their voter ID number online or in the ECINET app.
Polling station changes may have changed voters’ part and serial numbers.
Karnataka’s Chief Electoral Officer said 43,81,141 of 43,81,143 planned notices have been generated.
Of those notices, 7,31,770 have been delivered and 36,49,371 remain pending delivery.
The notices concern electors listed under “no mapping” and “anomalies” categories.
Hearings began on September 3 and will continue through October 12; 206 have been completed.
Karnataka has 4,46,38,124 electors, while a special registration campaign is scheduled for September 19 and 20.
