A very large crane was being used in Kurla East, Mumbai, to lift a digging machine to a tall building.

The crane lost its balance and fell at about 2:45 a.m.

on August 21.

Its long metal arm landed on nearby homes and vehicles.

Some people inside the homes and other residents were hurt.

No one was reported killed.

The injured people were taken to Sion Hospital.

Police said the crane operator and contractor may not have used enough safety measures.

Police are still investigating what caused the accident.
