Haryana Rewards Commonwealth Games Medal Winners With Cash Prizes
Haryana held a ceremony to celebrate its athletes from the Commonwealth Games 2026.
The athletes won 11 medals for Haryana.
Seven of those medals were gold, two were silver, and two were bronze.
Gold medal winners received Rs 1.50 crore each.
Silver and bronze winners also received large cash awards.
Athletes who took part but did not win medals received Rs 7.50 lakh each.
The chief minister said athletes succeed because of their hard work, coaches, and families.
Haryana is also spending money on sports facilities and helping athletes find jobs and recover from injuries.
