Schools and families will be encouraged to teach children about cleanliness.

Shops using banned single-use plastic may face fines or sealing.

People will be encouraged to use cloth, jute and other environmentally friendly materials.

Officials will study waste-exchange centres in municipalities.

Informal waste collectors may be brought into an organised system.

Rural areas will be encouraged to use vermicomposting.

Large waste producers such as hotels, apartments and colleges must be registered.

The district is also promoting special vehicles and shops to collect dry waste.
