TTD Deputy EO Lokanadham Remanded in ₹2.91 Crore Assets Case
M. Lokanadham, an official working for the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, has been sent to jail for 14 days.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau, or ACB, is investigating whether he owned more property and valuables than his known income could explain.
The agency says the alleged excess assets were worth ₹2.91 crore.
Its review covered about seven and a half years.
Investigators identified eight properties connected to Lokanadham and his family.
They also listed gold, silver, electronic goods and vehicles.
Some properties in his wife’s name were described as gifts from her parents.
The investigation is not finished, and one room at Tirumala was not searched because it was not allotted to him.
Another official, B. Bhaskar, has taken over as the temple’s deputy executive officer.
M. Lokanadham, a TTD deputy executive officer, was remanded to 14 days of judicial custody and lodged in Nellore Central Jail.
The ACB alleged that he accumulated ₹2.91 crore in assets disproportionate to his known income over seven and a half years.
Eight properties linked to Lokanadham, his wife and son were identified in Tirupati and Vadamalapeta.
The searches identified gold, silver, electronic equipment, vehicles, purchase bills and memory cards.
B. Bhaskar was appointed Tirumala temple deputy executive officer; the ACB said it had not established a direct link to the laddu ghee case.
