Nashik police are closing some roads to vehicles during the Ganeshotsav festival.

The closures are meant to reduce crowds and traffic jams.

Several roads in the central city will be closed from September 18 to 24.

These closures will happen each evening from 6 pm until midnight.

Some roads in Panchavati will also be closed from September 21 to 24.

Police, ambulances, fire engines and local residents can still use the affected roads.

Buses and heavy vehicles will have extra restrictions on September 18 and 20.

Drivers should follow the alternative routes announced by the police.
