Nashik NMC Targets Roadside Parking Outside Hotels, Restaurants

Nashik’s city authority wants to stop people from parking cars on busy public roads.

This is especially focused on roads outside hotels, restaurants and shops.

The mayor said businesses whose customers block roads may receive notices.

Officials will also remove illegal ramps and objects built on footpaths.

These obstructions make roads narrower and can trouble pedestrians and emergency vehicles.

The city is checking whether some parking areas can be opened for public use.

Road traffic is already affected by construction and other infrastructure work.

The action is important because many more vehicles are expected during the Simhastha Kumbh Mela.
