GVMC Wins Multiple State and District Swachha Andhra Awards
The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, or GVMC, has been chosen for several cleanliness awards.
It received two state-level award selections.
One recognizes it as a clean municipality, and another recognizes its government offices.
Y Nagaraju, who works in GVMC’s west zone, was also selected for an award.
Other workers and community groups received district-level recognition.
These groups helped improve cleanliness and sanitation in Visakhapatnam.
The state awards will be presented on October 2 in Vijayawada.
GVMC officials said the recognition reflects the work of sanitation workers, organizations and residents.
