Guntur Municipal Corporation received two awards for helping keep the air cleaner.
Guntur city came second across India among cities in the urban category.

Guntur Municipal Corporation secured second place nationally in the urban category of Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan-2026.
Guntur also won first place at the state level in Ward Category-II.
Ward 42 achieved the top state ranking among wards with populations of 10,000 to 30,000.
The corporation introduced mechanised sweeping, scientific waste management, dust-control road construction and regular water sprinkling.
The awards were presented in New Delhi during a Swachh Vayu Diwas programme.
