1,700 Devotees Attend Mass Varalakshmi Vratam at Srisailam
More than 1,700 people joined a special religious ceremony at Srisailam.
The ceremony was called Varalakshmi Vratam.
It took place at Chandravathi Kalyana Mandapam on Friday.
Among the participants were 1,233 Chenchu tribal devotees.
The temple organisation gave everyone the materials needed for the prayers.
The prayers began with worship of Lord Ganesha and the temple deities.
People then performed the Varalakshmi puja.
They received flowers, bangles, plants, food and other gifts.
They were also given a special chance to visit the temple and eat free food.
Srisaila Devasthanam organised a free mass Varalakshmi Vratam at Chandravathi Kalyana Mandapam on Friday.
More than 1,700 devotees participated, including 1,233 Chenchu tribal devotees and about 500 others.
The Devasthanam provided puja materials, separate kalashas and special arrangements for Chenchu devotees.
Rituals included Mahaganapathi puja, worship of Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bhramaramba, and Varalakshmi puja.
Participants received devotional items, prasadam, special darshan and annaprasadam after the ceremony.
