Rs 43 Lakh Lift Improves Accessibility At Prakasam Collectorate
A new lift has opened at the Prakasam district collectorate.
It is meant to help older people and people with disabilities.

Officials said many people with disabilities live in the district.
They are also planning to give assistive devices to 15,000 people.
The government also provides free bus travel and pensions to eligible people with disabilities.
A 13-person lift costing Rs 43 lakh was inaugurated at the Prakasam district collectorate on Wednesday.
The facility was established under the SIPDA scheme to assist persons with disabilities and senior citizens.
It includes a dedicated ramp for wheelchair users and serves the collectorate’s upper floors.
APMSIDC, Ongole, executed the project, with Rs 23.50 lakh released in the first phase.
Officials said 28,500 persons with disabilities were identified in the district and 15,000 would receive assistive devices in phases.
