The government in Hyderabad wants to help families who do not have much money get homes of their own.

More than 60,000 families have asked to join a special housing program called Indiramma.

The government will pick winners through a lucky draw on August 20, like pulling names from a hat.

There are 7,340 homes available in this first draw.

Families can still apply for 1,920 more homes until September 3.

A family can join if they earn less than Rs 6 lakh in a year and do not already own a home or plot in certain parts of the city.

Each small home is 528 square feet and costs the family Rs 6 lakh.

The government pays Rs 5 lakh to help cover the cost.

The first tall apartment buildings will be built in places like Hayathnagar, Goshamahal, Musheerabad, and Bandlaguda.

By the end of September, 3,192 families will get keys to their new two-room homes.
