Over 35,000 Apply for 7,340 Indiramma LIG Flats
The government of Telangana is building many new homes for people who need them.
These homes are called Indiramma houses.
More than 35,000 people have asked for about 7,300 of these homes.
People can apply until August 10.
After that, a lucky draw will decide who gets a home.
The draw will happen after August 20.
These homes would normally cost between 30 and 58 lakh rupees.
But families who are chosen can get one for just 6 lakh rupees.
People do not need to show caste or income papers.
If someone does not get a home, their 10,000 rupee deposit is returned.
The homes should be handed over to families within one year.
Telangana's Indiramma LIG Housing Scheme received 35,125 applications for 7,340 flats.
The deadline to apply is August 10, with the lottery scheduled after August 20.
Flats with market prices of ₹30-58 lakh will be allocated to beneficiaries for ₹6 lakh each.
No caste or income certificates are required, and the ₹10,000 deposit is refunded if no flat is allotted.
The Telangana Housing Board has initiated the tender process for constructing Indiramma House towers and expects handover within a year.
