Barapullah Phase 3 Corridor Set to Open September 29
The Barapullah Phase 3 Corridor is a new elevated road in Delhi.
It will connect Mayur Vihar Phase I with Sarai Kale Khan.
The road is designed to help people travel between East Delhi, Noida and South Delhi more easily.
It will connect with roads that already form the Barapullah network.
Some trips to AIIMS may become much shorter, falling from about 35–40 minutes to around 15 minutes.
The corridor has nine loops to help vehicles enter and leave at different points.
It also includes paths for people walking and riding bicycles.
The project is expected to open on September 29, 2026, after several delays.
The 3.5-km, four-lane elevated corridor will connect Mayur Vihar Phase I with Sarai Kale Khan.
The corridor is expected to link East Delhi, Central Delhi, Noida and South Delhi more efficiently.
Travel to AIIMS could reportedly fall from 35–40 minutes to about 15 minutes.
The project includes nine interconnected loops, cycle tracks, pedestrian pathways and Delhi’s 10th Yamuna road bridge.
Completed at a revised cost of Rs 1,635 crore, the corridor is scheduled for inauguration on September 29, 2026.
