Proposed Elevated Road Could Cut Delhi-Noida Travel Time
A new elevated road is being planned to make travel between Delhi and Noida faster.
It would start near the Rajnigandha Underpass and end at Sector 60.
The road would have six lanes and no traffic signals.
It would pass through several important Noida sectors.
The planned route would be about 6 kilometers long.
Officials expect it could reduce peak-hour travel from about 30 minutes to 10 minutes.
The project may also help commuters from Greater Noida West and the 7X sectors.
Construction has not started because the project report is still being prepared.
A proposed six-lane elevated road would connect the Rajnigandha Underpass with Noida’s Sector 60.
The signal-free corridor is expected to be approximately 6 kilometers long after a 1.5-kilometer extension.
The route would pass through Sectors 3, 10, the Sector 12-22 T-point and Sector 57.
The project is estimated to cost around ₹700 crore, with IIT Roorkee preparing its Detailed Project Report.
Construction and the opening date have not been officially confirmed, although the revised alignment has been approved.
