Barapullah Phase III Corridor To Open On September 29
A new road corridor in Delhi is scheduled to open on September 29.
Amit Shah will inaugurate it.
The road will connect Mayur Vihar Phase I with Sarai Kale Khan.
It will also help people travel toward AIIMS and South Delhi.
Officials expect it to reduce traffic near Ashram Chowk.
The project was approved in 2014 and construction started in 2015.
It was supposed to finish in 2017 but took much longer.
The corridor includes ramps, a bridge over the Yamuna, a cycle track, and walking facilities.

The project will provide a signal-free link between Mayur Vihar Phase I and Sarai Kale Khan.
The combined Barapullah corridor will extend nearly nine kilometres toward AIIMS and South Delhi.
Approved in 2014 and begun in 2015, the project’s revised cost is approximately Rs 1,635 crore.
The completed infrastructure includes Yamuna bridge connections, a cycle track, and pedestrian-friendly facilities.
